The House
A spacious and fully fitted kitchen, boasting all mod cons. These include a halogen hob, fan oven and grill, a microwave and a hi boy fridge/freezer. There is masses of storage space available with all the necessary utensils and crockery for a family of four. The kitchen area has French windows that lead out to the covered veranda and outside dining area. This has a lovely glass table and four chairs for either relaxing out of the mid day sun or for outdoor dining. There are two external lights to illuminate your dining area.
Going down the stairs you will reach the swimming pool area. This is shared with the owners of the adjoining property. The dimensions are eight metters by four so is easily large enough for all to cool down in. Access is easy and the depth of the pool is a constant five feet six inches and there are showers at either end to help remove the sun cream before diving in. The pool is maintained every week and is illuminated at night, should you want a midnight dip!
The grounds are landscaped and if you want to be reminded of home, there is even some grass! There is a traditional Cretan BBQ for your sole use and fuel can be purchased from the local mini-market. There are also four pool side sun beds, perfect for lounging by the pool and basking in the warmth of the sun.
Following the stairs down from the kitchen area you will find the living room. As with the rest of the house, the flooring is traditional tiling. This living area comprises of two very comfortable rattan sofa's and the high ceilings allow plenty of light into the property. We have had satellite television installed and there is a large flat screen television to watch your programmes on. We have also provided a iPod dock for music entertainment. This is a portable device so when fully charged can be taken anywhere in the house. As with the kitchen area, there are two French doors leading out to the swimming deck. There is a downstairs cloakroom as you approach the stairs to gain access to the first floor.
The up-stairs accomodation is again bright and spacious and comprises of two double bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a king sized bed. The wardrobes provide generous storage space and include drawers as well as clothing rail space. The French windows lead out to the balcony that spans across the whole upper deck of the property. The second bedroom has the same generous storage space and has two six foot single beds. Once again the second bedroom has access to the balcony via its own French windows. The family bathroom is spacious and includes a fully fitted bath, shower, sink and toilet. You will also find the washing machine in a large recess and a separate document explains how to use it and all of the various settings.
The balcony is accessible from both bedrooms. From here you will be able to see the sea and the surrounding olive groves in the valley below. The White mountains are to the right of the property and Tersanas beaqch is immediately in front of you. To enable this area to be fully enjoyed there is an "L" shaped modular cane sofa that can be re-positioned dependant upon the view you would like! The sofa has soft furnishings - cushions for extra comfort. For dining or simply having a drink as the sun sets, there is a contemporary marble table with two director style chairs. The perfect spot to watch and enjoy the sun setting beneath the sea.
